There are upcoming changes to pricing that will be effective April 2025.
Due to Claris’ and Windows’ announcement of price increases, Ottomatic will adjust its FileMaker and Windows Server license feeds accordingly. The updated pricing will be reflected starting with the April 2025 Invoices.
There will also be increases to Block storage pricing starting in April 2025. Block storage is additional drive storage connected directly to servers. These drives are used for Container storage, SNAPS, and additional local backups.
For All FileMaker Servers
What You Need to Know:
The following are the changes being made to our license fees;
- Annual Commercial Hosting Licenses: $16.50 → $17.25
- Monthly Commercial Hosting Licenses: $20 → $22
- Monthly Ottomatic Essentials per User: $25 → $30
- Other FileMaker Licenses – ~5% Price Increase
What Do You Need to Do?
No action is required on your part. The updated pricing will automatically take effect, and you will see the adjustment reflected in your April bill if paying monthly, or your next annual bill after April 1 if paying annually.
For Windows Users
What You Need to Know:
- For your currently deployed instances with Windows, your price for Windows Server licenses will increase beginning April 2025, in alignment with Microsoft’s pricing adjustment.
- The price for Windows Server Standard will increase from $15 per CPU core to $16.50 per CPU core, representing a 10% increase.
- This change applies only to the add-on price for Windows licenses and does not affect your underlying infrastructure pricing.

For Block Storage
Block Storage price changes are effective immediately but these changes will be reflected in customer’s April invoices
- New Deployments: $15/terabyte/month → $20/terabyte/month
- Current Deployments: No price change until January 2026

No action is required on your part. The updated pricing will automatically take effect, and you will see the adjustment reflected in your April invoice (or the next annual bill after April).
