Domain & SSL

A domain name is an essential part of your business and online presence. We can provide you with a subdomain under our domain, or you can use an existing domain name that you own.

Our Domain​​

You’re welcome to use our domain with a custom sub-domain. The URL will look like [servername].ottomatic.cloud.

BYOD (Bring Your Own Domain)​​

If you already own a domain, we can work with you to create a CNAME record in your DNS that points to your Ottomatic instance.

SSL Certificate​​

An SSL certificate creates an encrypted connection between you and your Ottomatic instance. This is required whether you use our domain or provide your own. If you use our domain, we provide the SSL certificate at no extra charge, and we will manage its renewal and installation.

If you provide your own domain, we can purchase an SSL certificate for you, or you can provide us with one that you’ve already purchased. To get your SSL certificate set up, we will generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR). With the CSR, you’ll be able to generate and send us your SSL certificate and we will install it.

If you don’t yet have an SSL certificate, we can purchase and install one for you. The cost of a single domain is $20 a year, and we will auto-renew the certificate annually. If you need a wildcard certificate to cover multiple subdomains, the cost is $120 a year.
